Le jeudi 2 décembre 2021 à Berlin, la chancelière allemande Angela Merkel a choisi d’accompagner sa cérémonie d’adieux d’une mélodie de la chanteuse allemande: Nina Hagen.
Une autre chanson entêtante a marqué mon parcours de germanophile, dans la période des années 80.
En voici 6 versions, qui dénotent une originalité toujours renouvelée. Les notes martèlent des paroles lourdes de sens. Longtemps leur sens m’a échappé.
Une version anglaise pour qui l’allemand est une langue inconnue.
Mes oreilles arrivent à saturation de décibels.
Aujourd’hui , à l’heure où nous envoyons des pilules d’iode aux habitants d’Ukraine (cf Tchernobyl), ces paroles appelant à la paix dans le monde prennent une autre dimension.
Puissent les enfants ukrainiens jouer au ballon, sans regarder le ciel ou craindre “le Bruit Sourd des Bottes dans la Neige”.

The song is very anti war. In 1984 when it came out it was to me about the Cold War and the price paid for pursuing global dominance by both US and at that time USSR
All these versions are good and it shows dance music can be compelling too

Nous sommes revenus au temps de la Guerre Froide mais surtout au temps du bruit des bottes et des massacres. Le sang coule en Europe comme il a coulé en Yougoslavie.
